* We apologize for the inconvenience. Links are not available for these stories. How did we decide which stories to include in this program? That’s a good question. We can assure you the process did not involve a dartboard or tactics allegedly employed by a certain governor in a Midwestern state. We did check the most emailed story lists for the public radio networks. We listened to NPR’s Story of the Day podcasts. And we asked public radio program producers to submit their best stuff. Then we picked the stories we thought best represented the breadth and depth of public radio in 2008. Oh, and we picked stories we thought would work as part of a fundraising special. There were many stories that did not fit into The Best of Public Radio 2008. They make for good listening and links to those stories are below. Even More Good Stories
